Sedation FAQ

Is sedation safe for children?

Yes, when administered by trained pediatric dental specialists following AAPD guidelines with proper monitoring equipment and emergency protocols in place.

Will my child feel pain?

No. Sedation is used in addition to local anesthesia (numbing). Your child will be both relaxed AND numb—completely comfortable.

What are the risks?

Risks are minimal with proper patient selection, fasting compliance, and monitoring. We discuss all risks and alternatives during the consultation.
